Visa Information

  1. Unless come from one of the visa exempt countries or one of the countries eligible for visa on arrival, all participants requiring a visa to enter Indonesia should apply for their visa directly from the Embassy or Consulate-General of the Republic of Indonesia in their country, or a designated country in case where no Indonesian Embassy or Consulate is available in their own country. Diplomatic and service visas and entry permits, where required, shall be granted free of charge and as speedily as possible for their effective participation throughout the duration of the meeting, provided the application for the visa is made sufficiently in advance, i.e. more than 1 month before the beginning of the meeting.
  2. If there is no Embassy or Consulate-General of the Republic of Indonesia in the participant’s country, the participants are eligible for applying Visa on Arrival (VoA) by sending prior information, such as the invitation letter from WMO, a letter of visa request and copy of their passport to BMKG by email to international.cooperation@bmkg.go.id with a copy to the aomsuc9@bmkg.go.id, not later than 1 month before the meeting. Please note that, prior to your departure, you need to obtain confirmation from BMKG that your application for Visa on Arrival (at Jakarta, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport) has already been cleared.
  3. The general requirements for visa on arrival (VoA) are that the applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of entry, round-trip airplane ticket and visa fees for staying up to 30 (thirty) days amount to US$ 35 (Please check the link: http://www.imigrasi.go.id/index.php/en/public-services/visit-visa#voa-countries)
  4. In accordance with the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 21 of 2016 on the visa exemption, participants from the countries listed in the link below are allowed to enter Indonesia without visa as well as visa on arrival (VoA). Kindly be noted that applicant’s passport must be valid for at least 6 (six) months from the date of entry and have the return ticket.
